The S-boom telescopic booms made by Genie have been outfitted with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other types of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access tight areas during construction and industrial applications. They are also recognized for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great traction and drive speed. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. 360° continuous rotating turntables offer operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 unit comes equipped with a Jib-Extend, which is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks which were unreachable by standard jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This particular feature enables over and up reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
Genie also provides the Fast Mast system which allows for precious time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms need to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be raised fully at the same time. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features lessens the time required for users to descend and ascend, increasing both efficiency and productivity.
