Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic lift trucks offer versatility and height. These models are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom allows the operator to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the cargo to great heights. Standard lift trucks can not move the cargo away from and towards the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift can allow that movement. The telescopic forklift is normally utilized in both agriculture and construction. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is required.
In situations needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to use uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It is available with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift would usually utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems that don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform which is meant to raise workers is referred to as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a chain or strap is utilized to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
